Author Guidelines

Authors writing for the “Journal of the University of Latvia. Law” are recommended to follow these formatting guidelines. “Journal of the University of Latvia. Law” is an open access double blind peer-reviewed scientific journal. All submitted papers must be original and written in English. The manuscript must be submitted as a MS Word document.

TEXT FORMATTING

Manuscript should be written in ‘standard’ font, preferably 12-point Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri. Authors may use headings and subheadings.

Line spacing should be 1,5 throughout the text.

MANUSCRIPT ORGANIZATION

The content of the manuscript should be organized as follows:

  • Title,
  • Abstract,
  • Keywords,
  • Text,
  • Summary,
  • References.

Submitted paper should not exceed 20 000 – 40 000 characters.

TITLE PAGE

Title page of the manuscript should contain the title of the paper, information about the author (author’s name, university, faculty, department, e-mail), followed by abstract and keywords.
