Abstract

This article briefly summarises the 59th Arthur Ozols Day International Scientific Conference, which took place in Riga on 19 April 2024. Linguists from Latvia and Lithuania took part. The papers dealt with topical issues in the history of linguistics, lexicology, sociolinguistics, terminology, grammar, areal linguistics, phonetics and phonology, as well as language policy from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives.
